The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) pre-degree programme is a preliminary programme designed to prepare you for admission into the university.
The programme, which lasts for one academic session is good for you if you have a minimum of five (5) credits in SSCE/WAEC/NECO/GCE, including English Language and Mathematics, but are yet to meet the admission requirements for your desired undergraduate programme.
The pre-degree programme is available in various subjects, including Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Management Sciences, and upon successful completion, you are sure of securing admission into the university’s undergraduate programmes.
Remember that doing pre-degree doesn’t mean you’re not going to write the UTME exam.
UNIZIK Pre-Degree School Fees
The pre-degree school fees for UNIZIK range from ₦55,000 to ₦120,000 depending on your faculty. Additionally, the application fee for the pre-degree program is ₦10,000.
How to Apply for UNIZIK Pre-Degree
- Visit the UNIZIK website
- Click on the pre-degree admission portal: Click on the “login as a new student” and create your student profile.
- Select pre-degree as admissions form type and click on “APPLY”
- Enter your phone number and email address
- Make payment
- Print out the pre-payment slip: If you choose to pay at a bank, print out the pre-payment slip and take it to any branch of the designated banks (e.g. Fidelity Bank, Zenith Bank, etc.)
- Complete your registration: After payment, return to the online portal to complete your registration.
- Fill out the application form: Complete the application form with your personal details, academic qualifications, and upload required documents (e.g. O’Level results, JAMB results, etc.)

UNIZIK JUPEB
The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) JUPEB program is a nine-month intensive preparatory program designed to equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the undergraduate course you choose.
The program, which is affiliated with the University of Lagos and other associate universities, offers a wide range of subjects in Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, and Management Sciences. Upon successful completion of the program, you receive a JUPEB certificate, which grants you direct entry admission into 200 Level in UNIZIK and other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria.
The programme runs to provide a solid foundation for you to meet the traditional university admission requirements, and to prepare you for the rigors of university education.
UNIZIK JUPEB School Fees
The UNIZIK JUPEB program school fees range from ₦55,000 to ₦320,000. The JUPEB program lasts for one academic session of two semesters and leads to the award of a JUPEB Certificate, which enables you to gain direct entry admission into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and other JUPEB-affiliated universities in Nigeria and abroad.
How to Apply for UNIZIK JUPEB
- Create account: Visit UNIZIK website, click on “JUPEB” and create an account.
- Login and Apply: Login, fill in your details, and upload required documents (SSCE/WAEC/NECO/GCE results and JAMB UTME result).
- Pay application fee: Generate RRR code and pay ₦10,000 application fee online or at a bank.
- Upload O’Level results: Login and upload your O’Level results (WAEC/NECO/GCE).
- Print application form
- Await admission
