How UNICAL Calculates Your Aggregate Score

UNICAL uses a combination of your JAMB score and your post-UTME score to calculate your aggregate score.

First, your it converts your  JAMB score to a percentage by dividing it by 400 (the maximum JAMB score) and multiplying by 100.

For example, if your JAMB score is 250, your JAMB percentage would be (250/400) x 100 = 62.5%.

Next, it also converts your post-UTME to a percentage by dividing it by the total post-UTME score and multiplying by 100.

To calculate your aggregate score, UNICAL then weights your JAMB percentage and post-UTME percentage.

The JAMB percentage is weighted 60% and the post-UTME percentage is weighted 40%.

The two weighted percentages add together to give your final aggregate score.

For example, if your JAMB percentage is 62.5% and your post-UTME percentage is 70%, your aggregate score would be (0.6 x 62.5) + (0.4 x 70) = 37.5 + 28 = 65.5%.

This aggregate score is what UNICAL uses to determine your admission status.

Note that the exact weighting varies depending on the department or faculty.
