Eligibility Criteria for UI 2024/2025 Post-UTME Form

Ensure you are eligible to apply for the 2024 UI post-UTME exam before you proceed. And the process is straightforward. You just need to: 

  • Meet the UI minimum UTME score: You need a score that meets the cut-off set by the University of Ibadan for the course you apply for. Note that the UTME cut-off mark for the University of Ibadan is 200.
  • Have a strong O’Level result: Make sure you have a minimum of five (5) credit passes in your O’Level SSCE exams, relevant to the course you intend to study. Some courses, like those in the College of Medicine and Faculty of Pharmacy require five credits in one sitting.
  • Choose UI as your first choice: During your UTME registration, make sure you select the University of Ibadan as your first choice institution. Otherwise, apply for the change of institution and assign UI as your first choice. 
  • Be 16 years old by admission: The University of Ibadan requires all admitted students to be at least 16 years old by the time of admission. If you are not yet 16, you have to defer your admission to the following year.

How to Apply for UI 2024/2025 Post-UTME Exam

Everything is set and you’re ready to apply for the 2024/2025 University of Ibadan Post-UTME exam. To start: 

  • Wait for the application announcement: Watch out for the announcement about the 2024/2025 UI post-UTME opening and closing dates for application on its official website and admissions portal. Keep an eye out for these announcements.
  • Gather your details: Before applying, ensure you have your Jamb Registration Number, a valid email address, and a phone number ready.
  • Access the portal:  Visit the University of Ibadan Admissions Portal during the application window.
  • Log in: Use your Jamb Registration Number as your username and your surname in lowercase letters as the initial password (e.g., JAMB number: 12345678EG, password: oyekanmi).
  • Pay the fees: There are two fees associated with the application: a portal access fee of N2,000 and a screening fee of N2,000. The portal guides you through the payment process, which you can typically complete using a credit/debit card, internet banking, or through generated payment slips at designated banks.
  • Complete the application form: Once the payment is successful, you have access to the application form. Fill out the form carefully and accurately, providing all the necessary information.
  • Submit and print confirmation: After completing the form, review everything thoroughly and submit it. Print a confirmation slip for your records.

Modality of UI 2024 Post-UTME Exam

To come out in flying colours in the 2024 UI post-UTME exam, understand how the university conducts the test. 

  • Type: The UI Post-UTME screening is a computer-based test (CBT).
  • Date: The University of Ibadan, UI Post UTME Dates for the 2024/2025 Academic Session have not been announced yet, but if history repeats itself, the exams are going to hold between November 27 to December 1, 2024.
  • Structure: The exam features 100 questions in 1hr 30mins, with the same subject combination as in your JAMB (25 questions from each subject).

How to Prepare for the UI 2024/2025 Post-UTME Exam

Preparation is key when it comes to passing the UI post-UTME exam. You need to: 

  • Know your course requirements: Understand your subject combination. You can use past brochures from UI or similar universities’ Post-UTME exams for reference.
