Admission Process

For Direct Entry (DE) candidates with A’Level, OND, or HND qualifications, there are additional specific requirements to meet.

The application process involves several steps: purchasing and registering for the JAMB UTME, selecting UNIOSUN as your preferred institution, applying for the Post-UTME screening on the university’s website, and attending the screening with all necessary documents. 

If successful, your name is going to be on the admission list published on the university’s website. After receiving an admission offer, you must accept it, pay the acceptance fee, and follow the university’s registration instructions.

Osun State University Pre-Degree Overview

The Centre for Pre-Degree Studies at Osun State University offers intensive one-year Programmes in Science, Arts, and Social Sciences to prepare you for further studies. 

These Programmes align with NUC standards and aim to develop essential skills for national and state development. The Science Programme focuses on training future scientists, while the Arts and Social Sciences Programmes enhance strategic human capital and managerial skills. 

You engage in formal lectures, tutorials, practicals for science, and field trips for arts and social sciences. Osun State University IJMB/JUPEB 

At Osun State University (UNIOSUN), the IJMB/JUPEB (Interim Joint Matriculation Board) and JUPEB (Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board) Programmes are designed to provide alternative pathways for students seeking admission into university degree Programmes. 

These Programmes offer a one-year intensive curriculum that prepares students for entry into 200 Level of various undergraduate courses through direct entry. 

Both IJMB/JUPEB and JUPEB are recognized by many Nigerian universities, including UNIOSUN, and serve as valuable options for students who either wish to bypass the traditional JAMB UTME route or did not meet the required JAMB cut-off scores. 

Successful completion of these Programmes, marked by achieving the requisite points in the final examinations, significantly enhances a student’s chances of securing university admission.

To apply for UNIOSUN’s IJMB/JUPEB, ensure you have at least five ordinary level credit passes, including English Language.
