How NAUB Calculates Your Aggregate Score

NAUB likely calculates your aggregate score by combining your JAMB score and your post-UTME score.

The university likely uses a 50:50 ratio, where 50% of your aggregate score comes from your JAMB score and 50% comes from your post-UTME score.

To calculate your aggregate score, your JAMB score is first converted to a percentage, then divided by 2 (50% of 100%). Your post-UTME score is also converted to a percentage, then divided by 2 (50% of 100%).

The two results are then added together to give your final aggregate score, which is used to determine your admission status.

For example, if your JAMB score is 250 and your post-UTME score is 70%, your aggregate score is (250/400 x 50%) + (70% x 50%) = 125 + 35 = 160.

next step if you didn't meet NAUB cutoff mark

Check for alternative courses: If you didn’t meet the cut-off mark for your chosen course, consider applying for a related course with a lower cut-off mark.

Consider other universities: Look into other universities that offer your desired course and have a lower cut-off mark or more flexible admission requirements.

Upgrade your JAMB score: If you have the opportunity, consider rewriting the JAMB exam to improve your score and increase your chances of admission.

Explore other educational opportunities: If you’re unable to gain admission into a university, consider other educational paths such as polytechnics, colleges of education, or vocational training programs.
