What to Do Next if You Didn't Meet the Cut-Off Mark
It’s not the end of the world that you didn’t meet the cut-off mark. There are different options to explore. All you need is to:
- Change your course: If you didn’t meet the cut-off mark for your desired course, consider changing to a related course with a lower cut-off mark.
- Consider a different university: Look for universities with lower cut-off marks for your desired course.
- Take a foundational program: Some universities offer foundational programs, pre-degree, that can lead to admission into the university.
- Retake the UTME exam: If you’re not satisfied with your score, you can retake the exam to improve your chances.
- Apply for IJMB or JUPEB: IJMB and JUPEB are A’Level programs that guarantee your admission into 200 Level in universities that recognize them. Plus, you don’t need to write the UTME exam with any of IJMB or JUPEB.
- Seek guidance: Talk to a guidance counselor or academic advisor for personalized advice and support.
What to Do Next if You Meet the Cut-Off Mark
Congratulations for meeting the cut-off mark. Remember, that doesn’t guarantee your admission yet. You need to:
- Start preparing for the post-UTME exam: If the university you choose administers post-UTME exam, start preparing for it. Get the past questions, and know the requirements. You can do it.
- Upload your O’Level results: Ensure you upload your O’Level results to the JAMB portal and the university’s admission portal.
- Stay up-to-date: Be on the lookout for updates about the post-UTME of the university you choose. Join our WhatsApp group for the latest updates.
