How UDUSOK Calculates Your Aggregate Score

Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUSOK) calculates the aggregate score by adding the JAMB score (which is 50% of the total score) to the Post-UTME score (which is 30% of the total score) and then adding the O’Level result (which is 20% of the total score).

The O’Level result’s calculation involves assigning points to each grade you obtain in the six relevant subjects, with:

  • A1 and B2 = 6 points each
  • B3 = 4 points
  • C4 = 3 points
  • C5 = 2 points
  • C6 = 1 point.

The points then add up to give the O’Level aggregate, which is the university add to the JAMB and Post-UTME scores to give your total aggregate score.

It is this aggregate score UDUSOK uses to determine your admission into the university.

next step if you didn't meet UDUSOK cut-off mark

  1. Consider other universities: Look for other universities that offer your desired course and have a lower cutoff mark. You can also consider state or private universities that have more flexible admission requirements.
  2. Change your course: If you really want to attend UDUSOK, consider changing your course to one that has a lower cutoff mark. This is a good option if you’re interested in a related field or have a passion for something else.
  3. Upgrade your result: If you’re close to the cut-off mark, consider upgrading your result by retaking JAMB or improving your O’Level grades. This gives you a better chance of meeting the cut-off mark in the next admission cycle.
  4. Pursue a foundation program or diploma course: UDUSOK offers foundation programs or diploma courses in various fields. Completing one of these programs can give you a direct entry into the university, even if you didn’t meet the cutoff mark initially.
