How PAAU Calculates Your Aggregate Score

As you prepare to apply to Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), you’re likely wondering how it caluclates your aggregate score.

Well, here’s how it works: as you sit for your exams, PAAU takes into account your JAMB score (which is 50% of your total aggregate score) and your O’Level results (which is 30% of your total aggregate score).

Additionally, PAAU also considers your Post-UTME score (which is 20% of your total aggregate score). Right now, PAAU is calculating your aggregate score by adding up these percentages, and this score determines your chances of being admitted into department you apply for.

So, it’s essential to perform well in all these exams to increase your chances of getting admitted!

next step if you didn't meet PAAU cutoff mark

  1. Consider other universities: Look into other universities that offer your desired course and have a lower cutoff mark. You can also explore universities that don’t use cutoff marks as part of their admission criteria.
  2. Change your course: If you really want to attend PAAU, consider changing your course to one with a lower cutoff mark. You can also explore related courses that may have a lower cutoff mark.
  3. Prepare for a resit: If you’re close to the cutoff mark, consider retaking the exams (e.g., JAMB, WAEC, NECO) to improve your scores. This can increase your chances of meeting the cutoff mark in the future.
  4. Explore other options: Consider alternative paths, such as:
    • National Diploma (ND) programs at polytechnics or colleges of education
    • Certificate programs or diplomas
    • Vocational training or skills acquisition programs
    • Online courses or certifications
