The Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU) cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 academic session is likely going to be 140 and above.

This implies if you score 140 and above in the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination and choose KOMU as your institution of first choice, you’re eligible for admission.

However, meeting the cut-off mark does not guarantee admission, as other factors like Post-UTME performance, O’level results, and the number of openings in the desired course of study also add more complexity to the process.

You can start getting ready for the post-UTME exam upon meeting the cut-off mark.

How KOMU Calculates Your Aggregate Score

Kingsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University (KOMU) calculates your aggregate score by combining your JAMB score, Post-UTME score, and O’level results.

Your JAMB score accounts for 50% of your aggregate score, while your Post-UTME score accounts for 30%.

Your O’level results are also converted to points, with A1-A6 grades equivalent to 6-1 points respectively.

The maximum points for O’level results is 30 points, which accounts for 20% of your aggregate score. The aggregate score is then calculated by adding up the points from all three components, with a maximum score of 100%.

For example, if you score 250 in JAMB, 60 in Post-UTME, and have 24 points in O’level, your aggregate score would be (250/400 x 50%) + (60/100 x 30%) + (24/30 x 20%) = 62.5 + 18 + 4.8 = 85.3%.

This score determines your admission status, with higher scores increasing your chances of  getting admitted into the department you desire.
