How MAUTECH Calculates Your Aggregate Score

MAUTECH uses a combination of your JAMB UTME score, Post-UTME score, and O’Level results to calculate your aggregate score.

The calculation is based on a percentage system, where your JAMB UTME score is converted to a percentage (50% of the total score), your Post-UTME score is also converted to a percentage (30% of the total score), and your O’Level results are graded and converted to a percentage (20% of the total score).

The calculation is as follows:

(JAMB UTME score ÷ 400) x 50 + (Post-UTME score ÷ 100) x 30 + (O’Level results ÷ 20) x 20 = Aggregate score.

For example, if your JAMB UTME score is 250, your Post-UTME score is 70, and your O’Level results are 12 points, your aggregate score would be: (250 ÷ 400) x 50 = 31.25 + (70 ÷ 100) x 30 = 21 + (12 ÷ 20) x 20 = 12 = 64.25.

The aggregate score is then used to determine your admission status, with a higher score increasing your chances of admission.

Here’s the breakdown of MAUTECH’s O’Level point system:
A1: 4 points
B2: 3.6 points
B3: 3.2 points
C4: 2.8 points
C5: 2.4 points
C6: 2.0 points
Note:
  • The points are awarded based on the grades you obtained in the five core subjects relevant to the course of study.
  • The highest score is 20 points (A1 in all five subjects).
  • The points are then converted to a percentage (O’Level results ÷ 20) x 20) to calculate the aggregate score.
For example, if your O’Level results are:
  • Maths: A1 (4 points)
  • English: B3 (3.2 points)
  • Physics: C4 (2.8 points)
  • Chemistry: C5 (2.4 points)
  • Biology: A1 (4 points)
Your total O’Level points would be: 4 + 3.2 + 2.8 + 2.4 + 4 = 16.4 points
Converted to a percentage: (16.4 ÷ 20) x 20 = 82%
