How EKSU Calculates Your Aggregate Score

Ekiti State University (EKSU) calculates the aggregate score for admission using a combination of the candidate’s JAMB score and O’level grades. Here’s the formula:

JAMB Score (50%): JAMB score is divided by 8 to get a percentage (e.g., 250/8 = 31.25%)

O’level Grades (50%):

  • A1 = 10 points
  • B2 = 9 points
  • B3 = 8 points
  • C4 = 7 points
  • C5 = 6 points
  • C6 = 5 points
  • D7 = 4 points
  • E8 = 3 points
  • F9 = 0 points

Total points from 5 relevant subjects are calculated

Aggregate Score: Add the JAMB percentage (31.25%) to the O’level points (total points from 5 subjects)

Example:
JAMB score: 250
O’level grades: 3 A1s, 2 B2s (total points = 3 x 10 + 2 x 9 = 30 + 18 = 48)

Aggregate score = (250/8) + 48 = 31.25 + 48 = 79.25
